Volunteer Opportunity Descriptions 

Job and Internship Fairs

September through November, 2018 - Times, locations, and industries will vary for each event. View More Information.

Opener:

  • Help with setup of fair, including but not limited to: table setup, stuffing bags
  • Load/unload employers’ displays and promotional items to and from their vehicles; May also help with parking lot

Floater:

  • Provides assistance to Volunteer Coordinators (VC) as requested
  • May assist at check-in, headshot station, student surveys, interview spaces, break areas, etc.
  • When not providing specific assistance to VC, provides short breaks to posted staff as needed
  • Assists employers during the event (food availability, food location, bottles of water or other comfort needs, brief table relief)

Venue Closer:

  • Load/unload employers’ displays and promotional items to and from their vehicles; Clean up venue at end of fair
  • Help transport necessary items to the storage area for next day pick up

 

Industry Exploration Nights:

October 10th and November 1st, 6th & 15th, 2018. Times locations and topics will vary. View our Calendar for More Information

Networker:

  • Float throughout the event and mingle with students and employers
  • Network work with students highlighting your career in industry

 

Student Professional Development Conference:

Saturday, January 26th, 2019 from 8am - 4pm. View More Information

  • Assist with room and registration set up

Room Hosts

  • Introduce speaker and assist with breakout sessions, handing out materials, collecting surveys

Hall Director

  • Directing attendees to sessions throughout the event space.

Career-Readiness Days
