  • Ana Baida

    Ana Baida, Executive Director

    Ana received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Studies, with a minor in Vocal Performance, from Southwestern University, a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from Northeastern University. Ana has held a number of positions within The Department of Career Planning & Development, and currently serves as Executive Director.

    Ana enjoys working at Kennesaw State University because it is an innovative institution that provides opportunities to think strategically and holistically about best practices on an ongoing basis. When Ana is not at work she spends her time singing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus, Conspirare, and with a variety of other groups.

    • Lori

      Lori Trahan, Associate Director, Systems, Data, and Technology Initiatives

      Lori received her BS in Psychology, her BA in Anthropology, and her MA in Student Personnel Administration from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, and her PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Georgia. She has been at Kennesaw State University since October of 1998, working with students in the Michael J. Coles College of Business.

      • Karen Marks

        Karen Marks - Associate Director, Career Advising and Planning

        Karen received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sociology from St. Joseph’s College and Illinois State University, respectively.  Prior to joining Kennesaw State University in 2004, Karen worked at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indiana University Purdue University, Ball State University, and Dalton State College.

        She has extensive experience working in the field, but continues to find it exciting to help others obtain their career goals, and especially values experiencing the “ah-hah” moments with the students.

        • Amanda Long

          Amanda Long - Associate Director, Campus and Employer Engagement

          Amanda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Education degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia. As a Georgia native who grew up in Kennesaw, Amanda was excited to begin working for Kennesaw State University back in 2010 as an internship advisor. She has managed the internship and co-op program for the Department of Career Planning and Development, and now works in the areas of outreach and engagement: building campus partnerships and providing informative and interactive presentations across the university. She enjoys helping students develop the tools and strategies needed to land their dream job. In her spare time, she teaches Zumba and is an avid movie watcher.

          • Tarrance Mosley

            Tarrance Mosley - Assistant Director, Career Advising & Planning

            Tarrance received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and his MBA from American Intercontinental University. Prior to arriving at KSU, he served as Director of Health Sciences Advising at Auburn University Montgomery. He spent 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, and is currently a civilian instructor in leadership and communication for the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

            • Mary Neely

              Mary Neely - Assistant Director, Career Advising & Planning

              Mary completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Louisiana State University and more recently obtained a Masters in Professional Counseling at Georgia State. The majority of her career was spent working in the corporate world as a Recruiter and Human Resources professional which led her to pursue her interest in preparing individuals to successfully pursue their career goals. Mary's academic experience includes working in the field of Career Services at both Emory University and Savannah College of Art and Design.

              • Jennifer Harlan

                Jen Yelton,Career & Internship Advisor

                Jen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, graduating as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and other various honors societies. She completed her Master of Arts in International Affairs at the University of North Georgia in May 2017. As an undergraduate, Jen was fortunate to participate in varied international and internship experiences; based on these opportunities, she is a major proponent of experiential education. Outside of her passion for helping students realize their potential, Jen loves to bake, read just about any book she can get her hands on, and enjoys discussing anything related to the Harry Potter series.

                • Kath Hallmark

                  Kathy Hallmark, Career & Internship Advisor

                  Kathy received her B.A. from California State University, Fullerton and her M.Ed. in Counseling from Pennsylvania State University. She has worked at Stonehill College in Massachusetts, the University of California, Berkeley and at the University of Southern California, where she worked in Residential and Greek Life. Currently at KSU she serves the business majors in the Coles College. Kathy is an Honorary Member of Golden Key Honour Society, Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, and Order of Omega. She has a passion for internships and for assisting students in achieving their career goals.

                  • Kirstie Colins

                    Kirstie Colin, Career Coach & Internship Advisor

                    Kirstie is a certified professional career coach and new resident of the great state of Georgia by way of New York, and most recently from sunny Southern California. Her professional background spans various areas within Higher Education including career development, and student services roles at many public and private universities over the past decade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a Masters in Education with a specialization in College Student Development and is currently completing a Masters in Organizational Leadership and graduate Certificate in Human Resources. In her free time she loves to laugh, travel and explore new and unique places to eat. She is passionate about helping people achieve personal success and live their best lives.

                    • Krysta Fry

                      Krysta Fry, Career & Internship Advisor

                      Krysta graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Psychology and Georgia Southern University with a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration. Prior to becoming a Career and Internship Advisor, Krysta worked in Residence Life at KSU. She has a passion for helping students succeed while enriching their college experiences.

                      • Lydia Henderson

                        Lydia Henderson, Career & Internship Advisor

                        Lydia is a proud native of Arkansas. She earned a Bachelor of Business Management and Master of College Student Personnel Services & Administration at the University of Central Arkansas. Lydia is passionate about helping others realize their potential in pursuit of their dreams and aspirations. In her free time, Lydia enjoys spending time with family and learning about a vast array of things.

                        • Steven Vosika

                          Steven Vosika, Career & Internship Advisor

                          Steven received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and Masters of Public Administration from Reinhardt University. He began working for The Department of Career Planning & Development at Kennesaw State University in May of 2016.

                          • Courtenay Hicks

                            Courtenay Hicks, Career & Internship Advisor

                            Courtenay received her B.S. in Exercise Science and her M.S. in Applied Exercise and Health Science from Kennesaw State University. While completing her Master's degree, she worked as a graduate research and teaching assistant for the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management. As a graduate assistant, she worked on many research projects and taught for a year in the undergraduate Exercise Science program. In her year spent teaching, Courtenay discovered her passion for helping students to learn and grow both academically and professionally.

                            • Luca Giardino

                              Luca Giardino, Assistant Director - Marketing & Outreach

                              Luca received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, with a minor in IT Applications from the University of Alabama, and his MBA in Marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009. Helping companies & people connect with one another is his passion. Whether through sales, design, or networking, there is always opportunity to improve the way we communicate.

                              • Michael Dutcher

                                Michael Dutcher -Assistant Director, Campus Engagement

                                Michael started at Kennesaw State University in 2007. In 2012 he joined the Owl alumni nation when he graduated with Master degrees in Public and Business Administration. During his tenure at KSU he has served students, student-athletes, alumni, and employers from a variety of industries. Through his service he has developed expert knowledge in resume writing, interview skills, and job search/networking strategies. On top of his career at KSU he has served on the board of the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers and volunteers with the Alumni Career Services Network developing productive relationships with employers for recruitment and learning best practices on developing students and alumni as they pursue their career aspirations.

                                • Ryan Whitfield

                                  Ryan Whitfield, Assistant Director - Employer Relations

                                  With more than 20 years of management, job development, employer relations, and career advising experience, Ryan Whitfield a native of Brunswick, GA has developed a keen sense for how careers are launched. He has a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (Mass Communication) both from Valdosta State University. Ryan’s professional leadership helps him successfully represent The Department of Career Planning & Development in professional and business meetings, events, and other settings in the private and public sectors.

                                  • Erin Stapleton

                                    Erin Stapleton, Employer Relations and Event Manager

                                    Erin Stapleton received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Kennesaw State University, and her Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of West Alabama. She returned to Kennesaw State to work as part of The Department of Career Planning & Development in May, 2014. Erin works on the Employer Relations team to help employers with recruiting efforts and plans the department’s large-scale events and programs.

                                    • Hannah Zander

                                      Hannah Zander, Manager, Communications & Logistics

                                      Hannah received her Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Auburn University. She grew up in Marietta and began working for the Department of Career Planning & Development at Kennesaw State University in July of 2016. She works with event logistics and is currently pursuing her Master of Management Information Systems degree at Georgia College and State University.

                                      • Valerie Perez

                                        Valerie Hodgkin, Manager, Operations & Budget

                                        Valerie received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Applied Statistics and Data Analysis from Kennesaw State University. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Applied Statistics here at KSU. She works with departmental budget, assessment, and operations.

                                        • Robin Knight

                                          Robin Knight, Employer Relations Coordinator

                                          Robin is a native of Michigan and has provided customer service and support in various capacities of career planning and development for over 25 years. She has worked in Employer Relations at Kennesaw State University since 2008. Robin is a member of Georgia Association of College Employers (GACE) and assists with the GACE Career Fair held at the Cobb Galleria each Spring. Robin has developed and presented KSU Recruiting Best Practices Workshops and tips for employer contacts, and she is happy to provide assistance to community members and constituents who are interested in recruiting options. Robin also enjoys traveling, exploring nature, and spending time with family and friends.

                                          • Marie Lambacher

                                            Marie Lambacher, Office Manager

                                            Marie is a native of Ohio. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. She started her journey at KSU as a student assistant and is currently the Office Manager for The Department of Career Planning and Development. Marie plans of pursuing her Master’s Degree in the fall.
