• STEM Job Fair Spring 2020

STEM Job, Internship, & Co-op Fair

Each Fall & Spring semester, we invite many of the nation's top companies to the Marietta Campus to recruit KSU students and alumni for internship, co-op, full-time, & part-time positions.

Students of all majors and class levels are encouraged to attend.

Applying for Internship & Co-op Credit

+ Program Overview
  • Cooperative Education (co-op) - KSU's Cooperative Education (co-op) program is built around three alternating semesters over a five semester period with the same company in a position that provides experience directly related your academic major. Students in these positions are typically paid a wage.

    • Position is full–time (40 hours per week); enrollment must also be full-time during school terms between work terms.
    • Sophomores, juniors, seniors, and students in graduate school with a declared eligible major, at least 30 completed credit hours, and a 2.50 KSU GPA are eligible to participate.
    • Students must have completed one semester at KSU prior to beginning an intern or co-op position.
    • Attended a cooperative education (co-op) and internship workshop (either in person or online)

All students interested in Co-op 2000 must watch the video linked here and email their Career and Internship Advisor confirming they’ve watched it.

All applications/requests for co-op credit must be initiated prior to each semesters deadline. KSU does not give retroactive co-op credit.

  • Internship Credit - An internship is employment that closely relates to your major and is usually one semester in length. Students may also receive academic credit for their participation (with an eligible major) and the position may be paid or unpaid. Note: Questions about how your internship course credit will count toward your degree should be directed to your academic advisor.

Students approved to receive academic credit for an internship are responsible for ensuring that they correctly register for the course during the associated registration
    period.
